FCKNLZ is a beauty and lifestyle collective specializing in mistakes. Members included Kelsey Hall, Destiny Pierce, David Riley and Grant Worth. FCKNLZ began their journey by offering aesthetic enhancements at the Fire Island's Pines Party, 2010. Through 2015, the collaborative produced multimedia and interactive performances for organizations including The Calder Foundation, The American Folk Art Museum, The International Curatorial and Studio Program, and Creative Time. They completed residencies with Recess (NY), and The Ace Hotel (NY), and The Museum of Arts and Design (NY).
Published in 1976,The Family Creative Workshop is a twenty three volume encyclopedia of activities ranging from "Vinegars to Winter Sculpture" (Volume 22) to "Square Dancing to Sugar Shapes" (Volume 18). Family Creative is more than just a compendium of craft projects, it's a way of life. An exhaustive collection of possible projects renders the world around us as an environment which can be fabricated from the ground up: wayfinding to cat cabanas, topiary and bookbinding, chair caning and Japanese tea ceremonies.
This body of work was made during FCKNLZ's six week residency with RECESS in Red Hook, Brooklyn in the Fall of 2011. Using images from The Family Creative Workshop as raw materials, The "Dopplegänger Project" spontaneously transformed participants into found images using donated found objects and materials.
A MISSION FANTASTIC is video, photography, and fresh adventures by Grant Worth and friends.
